INKLING TATTOO
CUSTOM TATTOO STUDIO
Inkling is a full custom tattoo studio designed for the more discerning client.
We specialise in creating and producing unique pieces built upon clients concepts, ideas and collaborations between the four artists in residence.
The studio is nestled in the heart of Leicester's cultural quarter at the Phoenix Arts building and offers a relaxed, unintimidating atmosphere that is miles away from the traditional tattoo parlour clichés.
ARTISTS
NEIL ANDERSON
Neil has been practicing the fine art of tattooing since 1997.
After apprenticing under Frank Moore in Southend-on-Sea, Neil relocated to Leicester and became part owner of the successful tattoo/piercing studio Abody.
16 years later Neil took the leap and opened his own studio, Inkling, in 2013. The quieter location and his strong client base meant Inkling could thrive as a friendly, relaxed environment where every customer gets beautiful, fully bespoke artwork.
Neil specialises in realism, bio-organic, portraiture and asian inspired work.
Outside of the shop Neil can usually be found walking his dog and staring at trees.
KATIE HENLY
Katie started her tattoo journey at Abody as Neil's apprentice in 2010. When he opened Inkling, Katie quickly followed.
Her specialities are dot work, patterns and anything colourful and pop culture. Her skill to adapt to any type of tattoo has earned her a large client base of happy customers.
Katie loves Disney and is never happier than when she gets to pour lots of vibrant colours into awesome Disney themed tattoos.
JACK BIDDLECOMBE
Jack began tattooing 2020 and has never looked back. His talent and creativity will send him far in his tattoo career.
Jack's style ranges from bright colourful cartoons to dark gothic blackwork and everything else in between.
Jack loves horror movies and punk rock music.
Shannon Iero
Shannon started her tattoo journey in 2021 first at a studio in the Haymarket and spent subsequent months teaching herself. The real training began when Neil took her on as an apprentice.
As an admirer of the old masters like Da Vinci and Bosch and surrealism, Shannon aspires to create tattoos inspired by mark making and painting styles. She likes to work in trash polka, dot work, and blackwork styles. Her work often incorporates subjects like skulls, nature, and eyeballs.
Outside of tattooing, Shannon also enjoys making creepy resin jewellery and creating large scale paintings.
